Personal data we process

Easy Nuts BV processes personal data because you use our services, because you provide this data to us yourself and/or because this data is provided to us by a partner in connection with our services.

We may process the following personal data:

• Information about your home, relocation and/or desired services

Not all of the above data is processed in every case. We only process personal data that is necessary for the relevant purpose and our services.

Purposes, legal bases and retention periods

Easy Nuts BV only processes personal data where there is a valid legal basis for doing so. The sections below describe, for each category, the purpose for which we process personal data, the legal basis on which this is done and how long we retain this data.

Customer and contact details

Data: name, address details, telephone number, email address, date of birth, place of birth, gender and other information necessary for the provision of our services.

• Performing and handling applications and agreements;
• Contacting you about an application or our services;
• Providing information about the progress of, or changes to, services and products;
• Providing customer service.

Legal basis: necessary for the performance of an agreement or to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into an agreement.

Retention period: no more than 2 years after the last substantive customer contact or the end of the provision of services, unless a longer retention period is necessary due to a legal obligation or for the establishment, exercise or substantiation of a legal claim.

Application and contract details

Data: personal data and information necessary for applying for and entering into agreements for, for example, energy, internet, television, mobile telephony, insurance and other services offered by Easy Nuts.

Purposes:

• Comparing and advising on products and services;
• Submitting and processing applications with suppliers;
• Performing our services;
• Handling questions, changes, cancellations and complaints.

Legal basis: performance of an agreement or taking steps prior to entering into an agreement.

Retention period: no more than 2 years after completion or termination of the provision of services, unless a legal obligation requires a longer retention period.

Financial data

Data: bank account number, payment details, invoice details and information forming part of our financial administration.

Purposes:

• Processing payments;
• Maintaining our financial administration;
• Complying with tax and other legal obligations.

Legal basis: performance of an agreement and compliance with legal obligations.

Retention period: data forming part of our tax administration is retained for the statutory tax retention period.

Account and platform data

Data: name, email address, user details, account details and information about the use of the platform.

Purposes:

• Creating and managing accounts;
• Making our platform available and keeping it secure;
• Supporting users;
• Recording activities necessary for the security and operation of the platform.

Legal basis: performance of an agreement and, where applicable, the legitimate interest of Easy Nuts in a secure and properly functioning digital environment.

Retention period: for the duration of the account and for no more than 2 years after the account has been terminated. Technical security and log data may be retained for a shorter period for security and fraud prevention purposes.

Website and technical data

Data: IP address, device type, browser data and information about the use of our website.

Purposes:

• Ensuring the technical operation and security of our website;
• Analysing and improving the website;
• Obtaining insight into the use of our website.

Legal basis: for strictly necessary processing, the legitimate interest of Easy Nuts in a secure and properly functioning website. For cookies and similar technologies that require consent, we only process data after consent has been given.

Retention period: depending on the type of cookie or technical data. The specific retention periods for cookies are stated in the section “Cookies”.

Newsletters and electronic marketing

Data: name, email address and, where applicable, information about existing or previous customer relationships.

Purpose: sending newsletters, offers and other commercial communications.

Legal basis: consent, unless Easy Nuts is permitted under applicable law to send commercial communications to existing customers without separate consent.

Retention period: until consent is withdrawn or the data subject unsubscribes from commercial communications. Data necessary to honour an unsubscribe request may be retained for longer in order to prevent unwanted marketing communications from being sent again.

Telemarketing

Data: name, telephone number and, where applicable, information about the application, interest or existing customer relationship.

Purpose: contacting you by telephone about our products and services, for example following an application, call-back request or consent given.

Legal basis: Easy Nuts only carries out telemarketing where there is a valid legal basis for doing so. This may include consent from the data subject or, where permitted by law, an existing customer relationship.

Where a consumer has expressly given permission through our website, a partner or otherwise to be contacted by Easy Nuts, Easy Nuts may use this consent as a legal basis for commercial telephone contact.

Where telephone contact is necessary for the performance of a service requested by the data subject, for example to discuss or complete an application, the processing takes place on the basis of the performance of the agreement or taking steps prior to entering into it.

You may indicate at any time that you no longer wish to be contacted by telephone for commercial purposes. Easy Nuts will respect this objection.

Retention period: data used on the basis of consent for telemarketing is retained for as long as the consent is valid and no later than until the consent is withdrawn or an objection is made. Data necessary to record an objection or withdrawal may be retained for longer in order to prevent you from being contacted again without your consent.

Special and/or sensitive personal data

Easy Nuts BV does not intend to process special categories of personal data, unless this is necessary and there is a valid legal basis for doing so.

Our website and/or services do not intend to collect data from website visitors under the age of 16, unless they have permission from their parent or guardian.

However, we cannot always verify whether a visitor is over the age of 16. We therefore recommend that parents remain involved in the online activities of their children.

If you are convinced that we have collected personal data from a minor without permission, please contact us at info@easynuts.nl. We will review the relevant information and delete it if necessary.

Sharing personal data with third parties

Easy Nuts BV does not sell your personal data to third parties.

We will respond as soon as possible and, in principle, no later than one month after receiving your request. Where permitted by the GDPR, this period may be extended in complex cases.

Objecting to direct marketing

Where Easy Nuts processes your personal data for direct marketing purposes, you have the right to object to this.

Where you object to the processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes, we will no longer use your personal data for these purposes.
